As an avid craft beer drinker and blogger, I was excited to finally make a trip to Waconia Brewing Company. Located in the charming town of Waconia, Minnesota, this brewery has been on my radar for quite some time and I was not disappointed.

Upon arrival, I was immediately struck by the atmosphere of the taproom. The space was clean, modern, and inviting, with a rustic feel that perfectly fit the brewery’s small-town roots. The taproom was bustling with activity and the friendly staff made me feel right at home.

Beers at Waconia Brewing

But, of course, the most important aspect of any brewery is the beer, and Waconia Brewing Company did not disappoint. I was able to try a flight of their flagship beers and was thoroughly impressed with the quality and taste of each one.

  • The Wactown Wheat, a classic American-style wheat beer, was light and refreshing with just the right amount of sweetness.
  • The 90K India Pale Ale was packed with hop flavor and aroma, making it a perfect choice for hopheads like me.
  • The rotating seasonal Cookies & Cream Milk Stout was smooth and rich, with a nice balance of malt and roast flavors. As stated on their site – it’s a “dessert in a glass”.
  • Last but not least, their rotating hard seltzers were a pleasant surprise, with a tart and fruity taste that was both refreshing and satisfying.

Seasonal Beers

In addition to their flagship beers, Waconia Brewing Company also offers a rotating selection of seasonal beers and special limited releases. On my visit, I was able to try a Mint chocolate Porter that was simply amazing. The rich, chocolate flavors of the stout were perfectly complemented by the vanilla and oak notes. It was a true treat for the senses.

Taproom Experience

But Waconia Brewing Company is not just about the beer, they also offer a great taproom experience. They serve a variety of snacks, and there’s a rotating selection of food trucks on weekends, giving visitors even more options to pair their beer with. The brewery also hosts events and live music, which makes the taproom a popular spot for the community to gather and socialize.

Summary

All in all, my experience at Waconia Brewing Company was fantastic. The beer was top-notch, the taproom was inviting, and the staff was friendly. If you’re a craft beer lover like me and haven’t yet visited Waconia Brewing Company, I highly recommend it. And if you’re a local, make sure to stop by and try one of their rotating seasonal beers, you won’t be disappointed!
